The girls and I needed a change to our typical Tuesday night girl's night, therefore we decided to take advantage of Modern Plate's Girl's night special. Typically a $35 3-small plate meal, turned into appetizers, drinks and the girl's night special. Our waitress, Amber, was really attentive, friendly, and made our experience all that much better. Looking forward to our next visit to Modern Plate.

Wonderful place, amazing music! One of the first experiences I've had at a "Modern American" restaurant where I didn't feel ripped off. The drinks were delicious and strong, the food was reasonably priced and delicious!! Better Cuban sandwhich than the one I had in Miami. Kristina and manager Jason took great care of us. WILL RETURN!

A consistently fantastic experience at Modern Plate

Modern Plate never disappoints. The food is always delicious, creative, and clearly made with high‑quality ingredients. Every dish feels thoughtfully crafted, and the prices are more than fair for the level of care and flavor they deliver.

On my recent visit, the bar team Iwona and Amanda were outstanding. Even on a busy night with a high volume of orders, they stayed attentive, friendly, and incredibly efficient. The drinks were made well, balanced, and consistent, and you could see how hard they were working to keep everything flowing smoothly.

Great food, great service, and great people. Modern Plate continues to be one of the best dining experiences around.

From the time we arrived for brunch until we left, it was a great dining experience. Food was very good and reasonable for a price perspective. Our server was very friendly and attentive. I will definitely be back and would add it to the list of brunch spots to try in Elmhurst.
