I don’t write reviews often, but Sophia absolutely deserves one.
From the moment we walked in, it was clear this place is being led by someone special. Sophia is the kind of manager you rarely come across — young, approachable, and genuinely passionate about what she does, yet carrying herself with the quiet confidence of someone who’s been doing this for decades.
We grabbed seats at the bar and were lucky enough to try her newest cocktail creation, the Greek Dirty Martini, and wow — it is a showstopper. A brilliant, creative twist on a classic that somehow feels both bold and perfectly balanced. It’s already my new go-to, and honestly reason enough to come back.
But what really sets Sophia apart is how she makes every guest feel seen. She came over to us at the bar, asked about our experience, and actually listened. No script, no rush — just genuine care. You can feel her energy ripple through the entire staff too; the team is warm, attentive, and clearly inspired by her example.
Sophia is the real deal. Remember her name — because she’s going places. This spot is lucky to have her, and we’ll absolutely be back.

The girls and I needed a change to our typical Tuesday night girl's night, therefore we decided to take advantage of Modern Plate's Girl's night special. Typically a $35 3-small plate meal, turned into appetizers, drinks and the girl's night special. Our waitress, Amber, was really attentive, friendly, and made our experience all that much better. Looking forward to our next visit to Modern Plate.

Wonderful place, amazing music! One of the first experiences I've had at a "Modern American" restaurant where I didn't feel ripped off. The drinks were delicious and strong, the food was reasonably priced and delicious!! Better Cuban sandwhich than the one I had in Miami. Kristina and manager Jason took great care of us. WILL RETURN!

A consistently fantastic experience at Modern Plate

Modern Plate never disappoints. The food is always delicious, creative, and clearly made with high‑quality ingredients. Every dish feels thoughtfully crafted, and the prices are more than fair for the level of care and flavor they deliver.

On my recent visit, the bar team Iwona and Amanda were outstanding. Even on a busy night with a high volume of orders, they stayed attentive, friendly, and incredibly efficient. The drinks were made well, balanced, and consistent, and you could see how hard they were working to keep everything flowing smoothly.

Great food, great service, and great people. Modern Plate continues to be one of the best dining experiences around.
